General Purpose of the Position
The Director, Processing is responsible for managing the activities of the Processing Division to achieve profitable growth through maximizing Divestco’s resources, integrating and developing product and service offerings, defining and executing on corporate and divisional strategy and creating a desirable place to work for Divestco employees.
General Responsibilities and Accountabilities
o Responsible for development and execution of divisional strategy consistent with overall corporate strategy, standards and policies
o Participates on management team and takes a leadership role in facilitating strategy formulation for the Processing Division.
o Continually assesses environment, analyzes information and draws appropriate conclusions to identify opportunities and potential threats and to position area(s) of responsibility for continued success
o Exemplifies, demonstrates and reinforces Divestco’s Core Values
o Communicates divisional and corporate strategy and rallies team towards common goals
o Builds and sustains team relationship and through subordinate managers exercises management functions for area(s) of responsibility
o Develops a group of well-rounded, capable managers and employees
o Works cooperatively with, shares information with and represents area(s) of responsibility to other parts of the organization and a wide variety of external contacts.
o Develop innovative methods to achieve strategic objectives as defined in the annual strategic planning sessions
o Tenaciously pursues high standards in the pursuit of excellent operational performance
o Develops operational and financial goals for area(s) or responsibility that are aggressive and tied to long-term goals
o Maintains relations with customers, external organizations and agencies and takes charge in high-priority crises
· Preparing and controlling budget for area(s) of responsibility
· Achieving revenue and cost targets
· Management of expenses and capital purchases
· Ensuring responsible financial management in accordance with corporate governance rules.
· PO & Expense approval
· Performing other such financial duties as required and defined by Divestco from time to time
Education and Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of related work experience combined with at least 5 years managerial experience
Has broad experience and demonstrates professional excellence in the field of seismic processing
Possess a post-graduate degree in Geophysics or related field
Strong business acumen and proven ability to implement and maintain effective management and business practices
