Project Portfolio Business Analyst at Randstad

About the Job


We are looking for a business analyst to support our Portfolio Management Department. This person will join a team of engineers and technologists both in office and field settings to develop custom made applications and databases that will help the team make timely and accurate project execution decisions.

The main platforms used will be MS Excel and Power BI based.

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop data models and design applications

• Develop troubleshooting and analytical tools

• Develop KPI dashboards (gauges, graphs & charts)

• Develop and administer SharePoint sites and applications

• Import, export data between SAP and MS Excel databases and analyze trends in datasets

• Prepare monthly data and produce reports

• Prepare presentation materials for monthly business reviews with executives

• Lead initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities

• Prepare various ad hoc analyses

• Other duties as assigned by manager

Position Technical Requirements:
• Computer Science diploma (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is an asset)

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with data modeling, analysis, trending and month-end reporting

• Advanced skills in MS Excel (formulas, Pivot tables, etc…) for data manipulation and reporting

• Advanced skills in Power BI

• Advanced VBA experience

• Strong analytical skills with basic understanding of statistics

• Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint

• Experience with SAP and Oracle

• Experience with Visio and Adobe

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Ability to work effectively with members of the team

• Excellent data analysis skills and knowledge of problem analysis techniques

• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical ability

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse group of people

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills

• Highly energetic and success-driven team player

• Ability to adapt to and quickly learn new systems and processes

• Solid business acumen

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
