This position will be located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. 

Duties:
• Analyze requirements for railroad signal operating changes and improvements to wayside and/or highway grade crossing systems for assigned projects; 
• Coordinate with railroad personnel regarding project scope, schedule, and engineering requirements; 
• Provide final safety checks of circuit plans and application software; 
• Provide P. Eng. seal to drawings; 
• Create and review estimates for work order proposals; 
• Review and verify that work completed meets criteria for design requirements as identified in the clients design standards quality process; 
• Help train and mentor other signal engineers. 

Qualifications:
• BS in electrical engineering;
• 10 years rail signaling design experience; 
• Experience in complex wayside circuit design, crossing warning system design, and positive train control; 
• Registered as a P.Eng. in Canada; 
• Ideal candidate will have familiarity of Canadian Pacific S&C design standards; 
• Analytical and problem solving skills; 
• Ability to work independently and accurately under tight deadlines; 
• Skillful attention to detail; 
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal; 
• Continuous focus on learning.
