This position is for Autosystems, a division of Magna Closures & Mirrors. Magna Closures & Mirrors, an operating unit of Magna International, is one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative closure systems and modules as well as offers a variety of exterior and interior mirror systems to the global automotive industry. Our focus is on developing technically sophisticated and economically viable products in order to satisfy our customers at any time.
** Manage the Accounting activities with Autosystems * Bank entries and reconciliations * Lead month end closing processing * General Ledger processing ( Interfacing & posting) * Chart of Accounts Maintenance * Inventory Reconciliation * Weekly expense tracking and forecasting * Assist in the weekly/monthly/quarterly budget/forecasting process * Various account reconciliation * Weekly / Monthly Scrap & Efficiency Reporting * Accounts payable/receivable forecasting * Regular communication and interaction with all levels of management regarding financial matters * Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Education
* University degree in Finance related field (Business Administration or Commerce) required * Professional accounting designation or near completion (CPA) required
* 3 - 5 years Accounting Experience required, preferably within the Automotive Industry * Experience in a supervisory role an asset * Understanding of general accounting and account reconciliation principles required * Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel required; Strong knowledge of Excel formulas considered an asset * Able to work flexible hours and varied start/end times

* Normal amount of sitting and standing; * Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; * Ability to work at a computer workstation; * Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach; * Required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature; * Ability to lift max. 50lbs periodically.
