The Windsor Port Authority is one of eighteen independently managed Port Authorities in Canada, and the third largest on the Great Lakes. Reporting directly to the President, we seek a dynamic individual capable of leading all accounting and financial activities, including A/P, A/R, financial statements, payroll, and budget administration. This position also provides executive assistance to the President and serves as Secretary to the Board, and ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also supervise one staff and provide leadership in the provision of web access and social media, in addition to IT support. As an active member of the leadership team, you will also participate in community and port special events.
You possess a post-secondary education, preferably in business-accounting, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. You are proficient Microsoft office programs, and Sage AccPac accounting software. Superior organizational, written and oral communication skills are essential. Supervisory experience, proficiency in social media, and bilingualism (English/French) are all assets to your candidacy.
Salary: $75,000-$80,000, plus medical benefits and pension contribution.
