Provides guidance to employees by assisting in solving day to day concerns, utilizing the Magna Employee Charter while implementing the policies and procedures of the company.
Supports recruiting process for hourly,contract and temporary employees by effective use of inhouse systems and procedures.
Supports orientation process for all employees.
Support training by scheduling and ensuring successful completion through prescribed development plan of new and existing employees.
Maintaining Training Database.
Support and monitoring of job posting policy ensuring policy is followed effectively.
Support Perf Review process through routine monitoring and submission of data.
Mainains locker, lock and uniform files and process.
Filing paperwork into Personnel files.
Deals with employee concerns with respect to job security, fair treatment, safe and healthy workplace, fair wages and benefits and communication of information.
Assists Leaders to ensure the fair and reasonable implementation of company policies and procedures.
Assists with the development and continual updating of company policies and procedures including employee handbook.
Assists with preparing and participating in monthly Employee Meetings.
Contributes to various Audits results and the subsequent Action Plans.
Ensure Health & Safety communication board is updated.
Monitors the Material Safety Data Sheets and ensures they are updated.
Assist with scheduling annual Fire Drills; Hearing Tests etc.
Assist HR to manage the prescription safety eye glass program.
Schedules the safety shoe truck every two months.
Ensures PPE is available to all employees and visitors. Monitors stock.
Responsible for the Heat Stress Program. Ensures all cooling aids are available for employees. Monitors the temperature within the plant and recommends additional breaks.
Project driven work as directed by HR Manager.
Coordinates Employee Meeting presentations, Communication Boards and Social events.
Promotes divisional values as well as contributes towards meeting long term goals of company.
Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
Effective use of P&F's Escalation Process.
Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
Functions as back up of Payroll Administrator during vacation.
Other duties that may be assigned.
Performs any and all other assignments from time to time as management so directs.

Knowledge and Education
University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Office
Minimum 1 year work experience in manufacturing environment or related field
