This client of Hays, a growing commercial property management company with a current portfolio of 3.5M square feet - soon to acquire a new retail portfolio, is looking for a Commercial Property Accountant to join their accounting team. This organization is an seeking enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable property accounting professional to join their industry experienced team.
Your new role
As the Property Accountant, you will be report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for preparing financial statements and cash flow statements, variance analysis and budgeting; as well as, calculating and processing Tax and CAM reconciliations. In addition to this you will be responsible for preparing year-end audits, aged arrears reports, monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST Payable Taxes. Finally, you will be responsible for the preparation of annual budgets. working papers for designated properties and cash summary reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
As the qualified Property Accountant, you will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial property accounting. Also, having retail portfolio and Yardi software experience is an asset. In addition to this you will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, possess a positive attitude and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
What you'll get in return
Your starting salary for the Property Accounting opportunity will be from $55,000-$65,000, depending on years of experience, with 3 weeks of paid vacation and a comprehensive benefits package.
