STERILE LABORATORY PHARMACY ASSISTANT

JOB ORDER NUMBER:
A well-established organization with proven success and growth is looking to add a strong Sterile Laboratory Pharmacy Assistant to their team as a result of extensive growth. They are an organization that truly invests in their staff and allows them to grow with the organization. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong examples of the desired competencies, skills and previous experience required to excel in this position. The incumbent will prepare sterile pharmaceutical products in accordance with procedures and standards. The incumbent will also participate in the maintenance of the clean room, inventory and necessary equipment. The incumbent will take part in the production of sterile pharmaceuticals (and other products as required) to ensure quality of the highest standards, for targeted specialty customers.
-Compound sterile pharmaceutical products using aseptic technique and following standard operating procedures and USP < 797> standards.
-Document details of process when compounding in the sterile laboratory.
-Sterilize equipment and instruments as required.
-Submit to regularly schedule garbing competency and glove fingertip testing, and conduct media fill tests.
-Use, clean and maintain equipment, including, but not limited to: autoclave, incubator, centrifuge.
-Monitor and maintain records for clean room facility and equipment as required.
-Clean and maintain sterile laboratory.
-Conduct air and surface sampling.
-Maintain product inventory, including completing inventory counts and checking expiry dates.
-Possess and be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in the following areas: drive for results, collaboration, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, analytical thinking and creativity.
-Is a team player, with a positive and winning attitude.
EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:
-Pharmaceutical experience: 2 years.
-Sterile Compounding experience: 1 year.
Competitive compensation package commensurate on experience.
