Deco Automotive, located in Rexdale and Brampton, Ontario is an automotive parts manufacturing facility that produces structural automotive components for Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEM") including BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Tesla, and Toyota/Lexus. To provide manufacturing supplies to the production and technical service departments in a cost efficient manner and when needed on a three shift basis.
* Responsible for a clean and organized Tool Crib * Follow all approved procedures for the issuance and return of supplies (where applicable) to and from the Tool Crib * Enter all transactions in Deco MRP system during each shift * Follow all procedures for the receipt of supplies from suppliers into the Tool crib particularly ensuring that the quantities received on the packing slip are physically verified, and are stored in their proper location * Ensure that the minimum supplies are kept on hand by physically counting supplies and comparing to the minimum supply list * Prepare daily usage report * Note abnormal usages of supplies and inform immediate Supervisor * Continuously suggest areas for improvement in all areas, especially operation of the Tool Crib. * Assist with the implementation and on-going functioning of computer-controlled inventories of manufacturing supplies * Analyze controlled stock information to determine obsolete items and their removal / cost recovery * Ensure timely processing of all purchase orders, receiving, placing orders etc. * Enter purchase requisitions as and when required * Work closely with MRO Buyer and support consignment program with various suppliers * Daily cycle count (including actual count and physical adjustment in MRP system once approved) * Prepare documentation and packaging for sending parts out for repairs * Monitor Inventory levels and work with MRO Buyer to ensure timely order to replenish to pre-defined Inventory levels * Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook. * Team Player * TS16949 awareness and adherence * Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Education
* Grade 12 or equivalent and with related work experience in Tool Crib environment * A working knowledge (written & verbal) or both English and Mathematics * Good customer service orientation * Basic Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc...
* Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safely in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines. * Responsible for good Housekeeping in your area.
