Our client requires some assistance for their beautiful Barrie office in their accounting dept.
Can you work from home Monday-Friday?
Your typical day could include (but not limited to):
* Accounts Payables/ Receivables, Responsible for inventory control at locations, regular banking, customer and vendor payments etc.
* Distribute monthly statements
* Work closely with the Controller
* Correspond with sales dept and customers
* Collection on accounts
* Update database, invoices, general ledger, and departments as needed
* Liaise between all manufacturing plants and head office departments for inventory issues
*Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely
* Assist in the coordination of physical inventory counts and cycle counts
*Investigate cycle counting, report and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
Competitive wages $28.80 or $60K yearly
Work Mon - Fri 8:00-4:30

RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
• All deposits are to be recorded into the system and applied to customer accounts.
• Receive customer payments (i.e. cheques) to be deposited into the bank on a regular basis.
• Report on breakeven points by-products by manufacturing plant
• Report on margins by product and product line as per selling and supplier cost
• Report on periodic variances and their causes to management specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products of services
• Generate estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Small balance write offs on customer aging reports.
• Liaise between all manufacturing plants and head office departments for inventory issues
• Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely
• Assist in the coordination of physical inventory counts and cycle counts
• Investigate cycle counting, report and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
• Update system to reflect any change in inventory and cost per item.
• Work with manufacturing plants to create new product codes and set up links and update all system platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 3-5 years of accounting/ finance and inventory management. Analysis skills and the ability to collaborate with multi-departmental teams.
• Must have strong costs systems background and excellent analytical skills, a sound understanding of accounting principals
• Experience with reporting, strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate – strong excel skills and the ability to use outlook and word
