Currently, Sunshine Logistics Inc. is looking for a dedicated experienced Administrative Assistant who would deal with administration tasks around the ongoing operation of our company joining our team.
Position: Administrative Assistant
Employment Term: Permanent Full-time
The primary objective of the Administrative Assistant is to perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of our daily office and logistics needs. This is a permanent position. Candidates must have relating experience.
-Assist the General Manager and Office Manager in their daily duties;
-Be familiar with the procedures of all ocean and air freights, warehousing and trucking, custom release needs, etc.;
-Resolve work-related issues and support our logicians in their operational and administrative needs;
-Oversee the general office operation and procedure ensuring SOP and workflow;
-Assist in establishing the work procedure of Sunshine Logistics Inc.;
-Management and handle digital and paper documentation, compile data for manager’s review;
-Proofread documents and enter data for records;
-Schedule and organize staff meetings and keep minutes of meetings;
-Liaison the operations of Sunshine Logistics Inc. with the needs of our clients;
-Arrange meetings for managers or logicians with clients and provide support services;
-Assist in tracking and tracing of all shipments;
-Assist in contacting steamship lines, flight carriers, trucking companies, and/or warehouse for booking or release.
-Simple operation needs such as issuing BL, invoice, etc.;
-Contact brokers for custom clearance, GST and duty payment, shipment release, etc. ensuring all shipments meeting the standards of various regulations;
-May conduct other duties such as acquiring office supplies and contacting building managers.
-May answer telephone calls and forwards to logicians for inquiries;
-Regularly check company emails, receive and distribute mails, etc.
-Minimum university education
-Minimum one year of experience as administrative assistant
-Experience with supply chain is preferred
-Proficiency in English, Mandarin is asset
-Proficiency in office software
-Detail-oriented and problem solving skills, must be dedicated and self-motivated
$24.00/hr, paid bi-weekly. 10 days of paid vacations. Company benefit package.
Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for 40 hours per week
