Cemetery Grounds Keeper at St Michael's Cemetery

St. Michael’s Cemetery, located in northeast Edmonton, is seeking a:

Cemetery Caretaker

Along with our other full time caretakers the successful candidate will join in the responsibility of day to day maintenance and upkeep of our two cemeteries. Responsibilities include preparing graves for interments, installation of foundations for monuments, setting up burial vaults, supervising summer staff with grounds maintenance, various landscaping duties, snow clearing, and oversee general maintenance of cemetery equipment.  

This full-time position is available immediately.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with taking turns on our Saturday rotation.

The successful candidate must poses a class 5 driver’s license, be physically fit and able to do some lifting, have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised. Landscaping experience is an asset but not mandatory.
