Pulpmill TA - Temporary Electrician
Canfor is currently seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Temporary Certified Electriciansto assist in our annual mill maintenance shutdown in the Spring of 2020. Further information regarding dates will follow. Dates are subject to change.
As part of the Electrical and Instrumentation team you will apply your knowledge of PLCs at our highly technical and innovative mill facilities. Along with your BC or Interprovincial TQ (a copy of which must accompany your application), you have strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. Pulp mill experience would be ideal.
Compensation and benefits based on the Local Collective Agreement are offered, together with a safe, high quality work environment.
- Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
- A strong background in PLCs
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Solid background in heavy industry and construction
- Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry would be an asset

Living out Allowance:Canfor will provide living out allowance to successful out of town trades candidates hired for our shutdown.
Background Checks: Successful candidates may be required to complete a background check prior to being hired on at Canfor. You must be willing to complete this in order to be considered for the role.
