The DiabetesClinical Specialist (DCS) is a key member of an integrated Diabetes Sales/Clinical Team who provides training and support to Physicians, Health Care Providers(HCPs), CertifiedTrainers and Diabetes Clinics within academic and communitysettings. The DCS will ultimately impact the patients who manage their Diabetesthrough pump technology.
A day in the life!
·Conductson-site education and / or consulting.
·Supportsfield personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service forMedtronic customers.
·Partners withsales colleagues to develop and execute plans of sales for within one or morebusiness unit(s).
·Participatesin conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
·Works closelywith Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to providecustomer case and sales support.
·Identifiesand facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and ClinicalSupport Team.
·Serves as atechnical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.
·Responsiblefor reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
·Develop and maintain excellent training support and resources forpatients on Medtronic Diabetes products (insulin pumps and continuous glucosemonitoring).
·Support and complement the sales representative’s efforts from aclinical, education and sales perspective.
·Work in collaboration with Start Rightagent to ensure positive patient experience stemming from initial producttraining and ongoing needs
·Train, educate and support health care professionals regardingMedtronic Diabetes technology as this applies to their patients and practice.
·Ongoing training of the certified product trainers in the region
·Participate and contribute as part of the Regional team.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian and licensedin the designated province(s) as applicable
·Ability toTravel is required
·Bachelor’s degreein nursing or nutrition orAdvanceddegree
·Certified Pump Trainer
- Medical device or pharmaceutical education experience
- Certified Diabetes Educator an asset
- Solid understanding of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and CDA Guidelines
- Excellent presentation skills
- Knowledgeable of CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Able to adapt to and be effective in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Industry related experience
