About the Job
The Actuation Systems, Regional and Business Jets site in Oakville, Canada is seeking a FP&A Manager to provide financial leadership through interactions with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain staff primarily in Oakville, but also with linkage to the Actuation Rockford site and Actuation Systems Leadership Team as well as the broader Collins Aerospace Finance team across the business. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure proper financial reporting and controls are maintained with additional responsibility for department budgeting, cost development, operations analysis and reporting to RBJ Finance and Operations leadership. This position will be highly visible and will benefit from multiple ACE events as well as the development of tools and processes. A successful candidate will help lead in many of these process improvement events and ultimately create their own work instructions and structure of the role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzing raw financial data to synthesize key takeaways, driving accurate planning/forecasting and value-add insights.
Creating presentations for Leadership including monthly forecast reviews, Business Reviews and more
Participate in the design, documentation and implementation of the annual budget review process.
Consolidate department budget data for the Regional and Business Jets (RBJ) business unit.
Manage the monthly forecasts, including but not limited to site operational performance, variances to standards, engineering spend, site G&A, and inventory.
Leverage continuous improvement methodologies to develop effective finance processes to support manufacturing, engineering and supply chain.
Lead financial reviews with RBJ site and functional leaders to analyze financial results, forecasts and performance variances
Manage the month-end closing and forecasting process for engineering related account balances.
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Support site audit compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.
Engage in processes to support reporting of standard variances, cost per hour, productivity and cost reduction on all production programs.
Support finance in completing annual and 5 year long range planning activities.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Designation in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, CGA, CFA) or an MBA, or in pursuit of a post graduate designation preferred

Required minimum of 7+ years of finance experience with BS degree or Minimum of 5+years with Advanced degree

Strong, self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently of direct supervision and make autonomous decisions

Proficiency with an ERP system required, SAP preferred.

Experience in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) preferred

Requires strong general and cost accounting skills (GAAP, Program Accounting, FP&A)

Project management or continuous improvement experience preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products required. Power point standard presentations required
- Demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis
- Experience with financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes
