Floater at Employment and Labour Law Firm, Downtown Toronto
Your new company
This award winning employment and labour law firm has an incredible atmosphere and culture that they work diligently to protect. They regularly hire Floaters with, preferably, one year of working experience in Employment and Labour, though a Civil Litigation background is also transferable.
Your new role
As a Floater, you will be trained and exposed to the employment and labour practice of several different Lawyers. As you hone and develop your skills, you will meet regularly with Human Resources to discuss your area of interest, and once your strengths are identified, you will be transitioned to your own desk.
What you'll need to succeed
A Legal Assistant diploma and a strong work ethic, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in private practice. Civil Litigation or Employment and Labour experience are preferred.
What you'll get in return
Upward mobility, as most Floaters are moved onto their own desk before their first year is over. RRSP contributions of 3% are doubled by the law firm who contributes 6%. Lunches are one hour and fifteen minutes and working hours can be flexible (8:30-4:30, or 9-5). Who wouldn't want to work here!?
