Food & Beverage Cashier/Service Associate found on Cedar Fair

About the Job
Prepares and serves food to park guests and operates cash registers while providing quality service to park guests in a clean, safe atmosphere. This position pays minimum wage.
- As an ambassador for Canada’s Wonderland the service associate will greet every guest with a positive and genuine tone
- Accurately enter guests’ orders into the cash register. Complete cash, debit, and credit transactions ensuring all policies are followed and tills balance
- Ensure all menu items and food supplies are available
- Practice proper personal hygiene on a daily basis
- Receive/store/prepare/hold and serve food in compliance with the Ontario Health regulations and department specifications
- Assist bussers with table clearing, cleaning and setting as required
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation practices for food and non-food contact surfaces and equipment
- Operate equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications and department safety policies
- Satisfy Canada’s Wonderland standards for performance and conduct
- Address any guest questions and concerns regarding the location/park
- Assist with other duties as required
- Excellent communication skills
- Min. 15 years of age
- An interest in working with food
- Guest service oriented and cash handling experience is an asset
- Able to perform heavy lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Assist Line Cooks as needed and directed by the supervisory team
- Successfully complete applicable location certification
- Able to work weekends in May, June, September, October, November and December
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (depending on assigned location)
- Reliable transportation
- Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
