A well-established Developer Builder known for building some of the most innovative high-rise developments in Canada is looking for a General Superintendent to be based in Vancouver, BC. This company consistently pushes the boundary of innovation, highlighted by their most recent building endeavour called The Butterfly. This development is a 57 storey luxury condominium designed by architect Bing Thom in the heart of Vancouver, BC.

Your new role
As General Superintendent you will be responsible for overseeing The Butterfly. The role will involve overseeing a number of onsite staff (including other superintendents) to ensure quality control, trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control and safety administration and reporting of the project. This is a demanding role which requires someone who is not only technically strong and resilient but someone who is passionate about the projects they build and leads with this mentality.

What you'll need to succeed
This role requires 10 -15 years' experience leading high rise projects of this nature for either a General Contractor or Developer Builder. Candidates who have lead large scale institutional projects will also be considered for this role. A technical background in engineering, carpentry trade or BCIT building technology is a must. This candidate will ideally be tech savvy with intermediate skills in computer software. Having a strong understanding of building codes/legislation with the ability to handle multiple priorities at any one time would be considered an asset.
