We are currently seeking candidates for the position of a GIS Analyst, in our Fredericton or Saint John office. You will be a member of Dillon’s Planning and Design group which comprises policy, physical and development planners, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic artists and transportation & transit planners located in our offices across Canada. You will be a key part of our multidisciplinary group serving our public sector (federal, provincial and municipal), and Indigenous clients.
Providing GIS technical support related to GIS components of operational projects (internal and external) ; GIS support may include data management, spatial analysis, and visualizations in various GIS and data management software
Collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams including, planners, engineers, scientists, and technologists
Providing support in the development of reports and presentations for multidisciplinary projects, client meetings, and proposals
Contribution to the development and management of existing and innovative technical systems, standards and procedures to maintain high standards of efficiency and quality in products and services
Attending client meetings and conducting field work upon request
Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
A degree in Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Science, Engineering or related field
Completion of a one year technical program in GIS
A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry
Demonstrated abilities in use of ESRI GIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
Well-developed report writing, organization and interpersonal skills
Versatile, adaptable, and willing to conduct a variety of tasks
Proficient in data compilation, relational database design, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
Understanding of spatial analysis, spatial statistics, remote sensing and working knowledge of ESRI analysis tools (Network Analyst, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst).
Development of mobile applications (Survey123, Collector) and ArcGIS Online web applications
Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination
Proficient in the writing of technical reports
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
