Drives ambulance to transport sick, injured, or convalescent horses by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in loading injured horse onto Horse Ambulance, with help of Outriders and Racetrack Officials .
Transports injured horses to backstretch or hospital, or to preferred destination, using skill and caution in driving to avoid sudden motions detrimental to horses.
Reports facts concerning accident or emergency to appropriate personnel or Race Officials
Other duties may be assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Have experience handling horses.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Have a minimum “G” class driver’s license.
Possess or be able to obtain an AGCO License.
Must be able to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
