Human Resources Business Partner, Aurora,ON, Construction company
We're working with a respected construction company in Aurora that has identified a need for a Human Resources Business Partner.
This particular client is at a pivotal growth point, transforming into a culture-driven organization that is looking for individuals with an attitude of "There to serve" the existing and future headcount.
For the first year, you will be covering the Director function until that individual returns from maternity leave, at which time you will be mentored thoughtfully, but will retain one direct report, a Human Resources Manager.
The leadership team comes from the top 3 general construction companies and have a firm understanding of processes and more importantly, what doesn't work.
With 7+ years of progressive HR experience, 5 of those in a leadership capacity, you will be contributing to the development and implementation of the HR strategy in support of organizational objectives. You will be responsible for fostering positive employee relations at all levels through exceptional service, including delivering quality HR analytical insights, open communication and operational controls in supports of a positive employee experience.
As recruitment is a key function of this role, you will also have significant experience in this area. Preferably from a construction background, you have the strong ability to function independently as a member of a team dealing with multiple priorities in a complex environment.
Here's what we're looking for:
· CHRL Designation
· An attitude of "there to serve"
· 7+ years of experience in a generalist, manager or business partner role.
· Construction industry experience an asset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; plus, familiar with HRMS systems, Keystyle HR Management experience is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain constructive relationships with employees at all levels, vendors and union partners.
