There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional who is experienced in both construction and décor to join the Interior Design team, here are the details:
Purpose:
To design private residences in a high paced, detail-driven team environment.
Job Description:
Working with clients, builders, Architects and the City
Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and softwares such as AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, MS Office & Google Drive
Preparation of construction drawing packages including: floor plans, finishes plans, reflected ceiling plans, power and communication plans, interior elevations, millwork sections and details which comply with BC Building Code
Selection and specification of finishes and fixtures as required
Design, sourcing and specification of furnishings/accessories
You are:
Hardworking, pro-active, and self-directed
Able to seamlessly manage many projects and tasks
Sharp and astute; obsessively detailed
Efficient and effective
Strong leadership and accountability skills
Exceptional with deadlines and highly organized
Open to mentorship and eager to mentor others
Dedicated to teamwork
Impeccably presented and professional
Upbeat and positive
You have:
A passion for designing
A university degree or college diploma in interior design is required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Excellent knowledge of residential construction & décor
Ability to multitask many different projects and tasks
