Home Care Assistance Edmonton provides client and family centered care to a number of different groups.  This includes private clients and individuals supported by Alberta Health Services.  The licensed practical nurse will be assisting in client’s homes, community settings and supported living facilities.  Our company serves both Edmonton and the surrounding areas.  The successful applicant will be joining a team of dedicated and compassionate employees. 

Home Care Assistance Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Practical nurse to join our team.  Duties and competencies include:

• Providing safe and consistent nursing care to clients
• Assisting clients by assessing, monitoring, reporting, and documenting any changes in clients physical, mental, and emotional well-being
• Teaching and supporting other team members including health care aids and clients family members
• Displaying a professional positive attitude
• Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excel working in both a team environment or independently with minimal supervision

• Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse, Home Care 
• Employee Class: Full Time NIGHT SHIFT
• Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings and weekends 
• Salary: TBN
• Vehicle Requirement: Valid class 5 driver’s license, registration & vehicle required 
• Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). 
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BALLS-HCP)(CPR)
• Minimum of 2 years of Home Care experience preferred
