Application Software Architect
Procom, on behalf of the client is looking for a Application Software Architect
Job Description:
The Innovation Branch has implemented a structured, agile software development lifecycle that integrates requirements development, change management, external stakeholder engagement and internal communications into an agile development and release framework.
A key project that was undertaken to support business priorities was the Electronic Service Delivery Project (ESDP) to enable new inspections, permission, licensing and export certification processes through the use of technology. The outcome was the Digital Service Delivery Platform (DSDP), through which external Agency regulated parties and clients are enabled to digitally request services with the department, which allows Agency staff to track and process these services requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and document the application tiers, frameworks, components types and interfaces;
- Coach and mentor fellow application developers, including conducting, knowledge transfer and code walkthroughs.
- Provide status updates of on-going development to Project Manager, Team Lead and clients; and
- Peer review the design activities and offer other possible solutions/recommendations;
- Test instructions and assemble specifications, flow charts diagrams, layouts programming and operating instructions to document applications for later modifications or references;
- Prepare coding specifications and documents all new functionality;
- Implement changes to the application to respond to requirements (including efficiencies, improvements);
- Correct program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations;
- Prepare sample data and testing by mean of system acceptance testing runs to verify accuracy and completeness of programs;
- Analyse the problems outlines by the System Analysts or previous analysis;
- Develop, implement and maintain web and client server applications;
- Design detailed programs, flowcharts and diagrams indicating computation and machine operations;
- Present technical solutions to meet business requirements;
- Assist in the design;
Must have skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the Federal/Provincial/Municipal governments as a Software application architect
- Must have 5 projects in either Remedy or SOA for a period of 6 months with continued support
- Must have 21 years of experience providing support based on SDLC in Federal, Provincial and Municipal government
- Must have 5 or more projects providing support based of SDLC in Federal, Provincial and Municipal government
- Must clearly demonstrate 10 years of experience providing support for Oracle SOA Suite 12c and Oracle BPEL Process in the Federal, Provincial and Municipal government
- Must have 10 Projects within the last 10 years providing support in Oracle SOA Suite 12c and Oracle BPEL Process for Federal, Provincial and Municipal government
- Must have 4 projects as a Software Architect in a scientific environment
- veterinary science, agri-science, health sciences, chemical, microbiology, natural resources.
- The proponent resource must demonstrate experience in the following:
