About the Job
Our top client is looking to hire an entry level Paralegal/Law Clerk to provide legal support for its North American Investment Law Division. The ideal candidate will have some basic knowledge of corporate finance, real estate finance and a strong understanding of corporate legislation. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic professional to provide support with corporate governance and compliance and on legal and regulatory matters relating to public and private debt and equity investment transactions, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, third party initiatives and various company projects on a global basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support investment transactions across a range of asset classes, including compiling, analyzing and summarizing deal documents and managing the execution of documents
- Create, review and revise documents required to form and maintain legal entities, including articles of incorporation, board and shareholder consents and tax forms; assist with general corporate governance matters
- Following appropriate training, review confidentiality agreements and complete private equity fund subscription documents
- Coordinate completion of know-your-clients documentation with outside counsel and administrative agents
- Organize physical and digital documents
- Manage filings with federal and state regulatory authorities â
- Maintain and update department forms
- Perform legal research
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree or paralegal certificate
Two years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter, highly organized with keen attention to detail
Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize high volume work
