Horizon Recruitment Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced Procurement and Contracts Consultant for an opportunity based in Calgary. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager and will be responsible for leading procurement and contracts activity for major capital projects located in Western Canada. The Senior Procurement Consultant will also lead cross functional teams to ensure projects have the required resources within budget and according to project plans.Responsibilities Include:Write and formulate contract terms and conditions for the acquisition and delivery of construction services and materialsDevelop procurement and contract strategy to minimize project risksManage supplier relationships to ensure time and cost considerations are kept in control and on schedule working through and dispute situationsManage changes and escalations for any issues that surface during the life of contractsEvaluate RFx bids and conduct negotiations to put contract agreements in placeRequirements:Minimum of 10 years’ experience running Major Capital Procurement's in excess of $100 millionExperience providing direction to Procurement buyers and administration support staffSignificant experience writing, negotiating and preparing contracts and RFX documentsExperience or exposure to large scale construction or engineering projects is preferredExceptional verbal and written communication skills is expectedExperience working in a complex, large scale environmentProven ability to manage shifting priorities, deliverers and multiple stakeholdersUniversity level training and education in procurement, engineering or construction management**Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered**To APPLY, please send your resume to email@example.com.
