Essential FunctionsWe are currently seeking Production Operators to work at our Fergus, Ontario Hose Production Plant. The individual in this role will: - Produce products up to and including 1/2" inside diameter - Wind and package products using auto winders, coilers and other packaging equipment - Troubleshoot and investigate errors to uncover root causes and take corrective action - Utilize available resources to provide the highest level of customer service while maintaining safety, quality, efficiencies and cost - Identify potential improvements, particularly in respect to methods, procedures, safety finds and systems - Drive and support Lean manufacturing initiatives Qualifications Qualified individuals will: - Have a high school diploma or GED - Prior manufacturing/production experience with machine set-up and changeover, preferred - An understanding of thermoplastic manufacturing requirements, preferred Candidates must also demonstrate: - Basic math proficiency - Excellent communication skills - Ability to use/read measuring tools - Customer service focus and the ability to work exceedingly well as a member of team - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
