Quality and Accreditation Lead

What you’ll do
- Facilitates program specific and cross program Value Stream Mapping to develop a strategic vision and future plan and the identification of key strategic priorities.
- Provides leadership, mentorship and facilitation in agency identified process improvement initiatives, utilizing appropriate QI Methodologies such as Lean, Quality Improvement Science, Design Thinking and Change Management skills. Oversees the development of project charters, monitoring timelines and key deliverables. Consults with stakeholders.
- Collaborates with identified stakeholders, community partners, staff, physicians and patients/families on identified agency and site wide initiatives. Manages a diversity of programs / related projects of varying scope in a complex and changing multidisciplinary environment and with a diversity of stakeholders. Maintains responsibility for ensuring that programs and related projects are completed in adherence to project protocols/ charters/ agreements, timelines, applicable institutional and ethical policies and procedures, and pertinent privacy legislation.
- Works with program staff to develop, implement, and evaluate indicators of quality outcomes and performance; prioritize quality initiatives based on detailed analysis, program functions, needs and performance measurement system; plan, develop and implement Patient Safety and Quality Improvement (PS&QI) education, initiatives and materials including evaluation and PS&QI sustainment tools
What you bring
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, related health discipline or other relevant area
- A minimum of five years of clinical practice in the program area or an equivalent level of education, training, and experience. Additional experience in leadership and quality and safety.
- Knowledge and expertise in Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety and Accreditation standards preferred.
- Working knowledge of legal, ethical, and clinical issues associated with standard of care practices, and Accreditation Canada requirements.
