Position: Registered Nurse
Department: Surgical Day Care/Ambulatory Care/PACU
Status: Part-time (must provide availability up to 0.6 FTE)
Hours: Monday to Sunday - rotating 8 hour shifts. On call PACU shifts scheduled days evenings and weekends(subject to change based on operational requirements)
This is what you'll be doing:
Apply all aspects of the nursing process to the care of the surgical day patient in a professional and multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients in the PACU and Ambulatory Care Clinic and Pre-Admission Clinic.

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLSCertification required at time of hire
- ACLS Certification required at time of hire and ongoing
- Recent Surgical Day Care nursing experience preferred.
- Recent PACU nursing experience preferred.
- Critical Care Nursing course and/or PACU course required.
- Experience with administering IV drugs below the drip chambers, central lines, Epidural/ PCA pump experiencerequired.
- Experience with phlebotomy, paracentisis, and other ambulatory care procedures.
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Flexible, good team player with positive attitude.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Caring attitude with patients, families and co-workers.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
Salary: $33.56 to $48.05 per hour
