INVISTA’s industrial manufacturing site, located in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a Robotics and Automation Technician. In this role, you will monitor and identify system faults and issues, and take corrective action to maximum production uptime for the robotic systems used at the site.

Obtain a high level of understanding of the operations FANUC robots that package finished product at the site
Program, install, test and debug robots in automated manufacturing process
Swift robotic fault recovery. Proactively identify faults and system issues before they happen through standard centre line checks and operator ownership
Trigger site resources or service providers to support off standard conditions, outages and failures
- Maintain detailed daily logs and shift notes
- Manual handling of finished product
Individual and team troubleshooting and problem solving are an integral part of this assignment
Adhere to all plant environmental, health, and safety guidelines, policies and procedures
$24.60/hr plus shift premiums on evenings and nights

What you bring:
Post-secondary education in Robotics, Engineering, Instrumentation and Control or several years of relevant work experience
Experience interacting and collaborating with multidisciplinary work groups (ex. maintenance, operations, technical, projects)
- Mechanical and technical aptitude
Experience interpreting data and applying attention to detail
Multitasking among and within complex systems
Ability to consistently contribute in a self-directed team environment
Possess knowledge of or willingness to learn and use, computer systems and applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP
What will give you an edge?
3-5 years’ previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Automotive manufacturing experience
Prior experience working with Collaborative robots
- PLC programming experience
- Problem solving experience

- Ability to work rotating, 12-hour work schedule that includes weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 unionized operation
