Your new role
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide finance and accounting support to the Finance Manager by performing financial analysis and reporting processes, and ad-hoc duties as required. The selected candidate will be a dynamic, self-starter with strong communication and analytical skills.
*Assist in the budget preparation and budget update process
*Work closely with senior accountant to produce monthly budget to actual update including providing comprehensive analysis on key components of the development, identifying issues impacting profitability
*Responsible for monthly cash flow projection and throughout project life cycles
*Prepare and provide financial information and reports for monthly finance meeting
*Support analysis and reporting of sales, including highlighting risks and opportunities for management's consideration
*Build financial modeling and analysis for other functions as required (e.g. construction, development)
*Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across all functions and business processes
*Support monthly / semi-annually financial reporting process
*Develop management reports and dashboards as required
*Support reporting to Head Office as needed
*Assist in future system selection and implementations
*Act as a business partner to other functions within the organization to drive process improvements and maximize business results
*Attend development meetings as required
What you'll need to succeed
*Solid understanding of the residential real estate development industry in Toronto
*Bachelor's Degree with focus in Accounting or Finance
*Completion or enrolment of a professional designation (CPA or CFA) is an asset
*2+ years of experience in financial accounting and/or planning and analysis
*Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
*Dash boarding / data visualization skills is an asset
*Ability to speak, read and write English and Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) is an asset
What you'll get in return
*A competitive salary ranging from $70,000-80,000
