This position will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, including contract management, across a wide range of spend categories in support of our Canadian business services group. This person will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams and business units to ensure the best options for Norton Rose Fulbright Canada and the Firm more broadly. You will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies and obtain pricing; level bids; develop, negotiate and administer contracts for products and services (excluding travel and real estate) for the Canadian offices at competitive rates that take full advantage of the total related firm spending volume. This includes: working with local and global stakeholders to confirm terms and conditions meet Firm requirements, ensuring all vendors are vetted, the life cycle of contracts managed and negotiated terms met.. Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of the annual Expense Budget and Capital Budget for relevant spend categories including IT.
You will be required to undertake sourcing activities by appraising and improving our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and potential new opportunities. This will be achieved while also building global stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, in order to create a truly global business partnering approach to Procurement.
As this is a newly created position, there will be an emphasis on the candidate being proactive in seeking out savings opportunities that support our business service groups as well as the firm’s global vision.
The candidate must be a people person and a self-starter who can demonstrate a level of flexibility and creativity in a fast paced and challenging environment.
