Kinder Morgan’s Canadian terminal network is expanding. Located in one of the busiest port cities in North America, our Vancouver Wharves’ location is one of the largest terminals on the West Coast and handles both liquids and bulk products. We are seeking candidates who will help us grow our bulk operations at the terminal.
Reporting directly to the Director, Engineering & Environment, and based out of our Vancouver Wharves Terminal; this position is primarily responsible for:
Management and delivery of Sustaining Capital Expenditure projects;
Highly involved in maintaining the 10-year sustaining CAPEX plan, and providing general project/engineering support for the West Region;
Investigating production and maintenance engineering problems and proposals, recommending solutions;
Conducting economic and engineering feasibility studies;
Preparation of drawings and specifications consistent with site and corporate standards;
Coordinating the supervision of design consultants and contractors during fabrication, construction, and installation;
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well as Company Safety, Quality and Environmental (SQE) policies and procedures.;
Working closely with local Operations, Maintenance and EHS leadership to ensure the appropriate involvement in design, review, and decision-making at key project milestones, and frequently communicating the status of project KPIs to the Management Team; and
Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in mechanical, civil/structural or related discipline preferred;
7-10 years of experience in engineering and project management in an industrial work environment;
Knowledge of bulk material handling systems, pumping systems, site utilities infrastructure and building maintenance;
Knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, guidelines and procedures;
Registered Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia or eligible to become one;
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and have willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment;
Ability to obtain Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSR) Port Facility Access Pass;
Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol screen, and background check prior to employment.
