This position is a key role in the coordination and execution of Best Buy's retail marketing strategies and plans. Reporting to the Retail Marketing Manager, Sr Advertising Coordinator will work closely with the Retail Marketing Manager or Category Marketing Specialists to support the planning, project management, and execution of retail events, corporate or category campaigns and initiatives. This role is the point of contact for most daily advertising process questions and will be responsible for maintaining all corporate and category advertising documentation.
As a Sr Advertising Coordinator, you will...
- • Coordinate the execution of weekly advertising program, promotions, campaigns and sales events, plus maintain & communicate the corporate and category advertising planner to Marketing, Merchants, Ecomm & Retail Ops. • Lead the development of small campaigns, including briefing and project management of the creation & execution of supporting media tactics & collateral, and development of post campaign wrap up reports, while serving as the primary point of contact for project related questions concerning direction and process • Provide clear marketing direction and guidance to Merchants, Vendors, Ecommerce, Retail Ops, Production & Marketing Services • Develop, maintain and communicate the necessary documents, such as blocking charts, calendars, briefs, etc...., to Merchants, Ecomm & Retail Ops. These documents support the planning and development of weekly retail and category advertising. • Coordinate the approvals & review of weekly advertising, multi-channel campaigns, vendor funded campaigns with Merchants, Vendors, and Marketing stakeholders. • Work independently with moderate guidance from the Retail Marketing Manager and/or Category Marketing Specialists • Actively contribute to a positive team culture • Cover the duties of other team members while they are on vacation, leave, etc.

- • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate to diverse business units • Demonstrated ability to influence others • High attention to detail, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills • Strong knowledge and understanding of Marketing disciplines and both online and offline marketing strategies and tactics. • Highly organized with strong project management skills and understanding of timelines and the orchestration of activities to ensure cross-channel alignment • Experience in managing, multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks in an ever changing and fast paced work environment • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Adobe Analytics is desired. • Experience in a fast paced Marketing Department (2-3 years) • Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail environment (1+ years) • Bachelor\'s Degree or diploma in Communications or Commerce
