Vendor Manager Job Details
- Support strategic sourcing efforts from start to end (determine spend baseline and sourcing opportunities, market research, identification of suppliers, creation of RFx, analysis of proposals, recommendation on solution, contract negotiation and execution, performance management)
- Lead major contract proposals and conduct negotiations for standard and non-standard products or services
- Manage client and supplier compliance to contract terms and clients established standards
- Support preferred supplier programs
- Conduct supplier performance reviews
- Provide spend category intelligence and analytics using both extensive internal and external data sources
- Responsible for reporting savings on a monthly basis
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, product and sales team
- Analyze operational activity and interface with internal stakeholders to support changes in business strategy
Vendor Manager Mandatory Skills
- Solid general procurement knowledge
- Deep knowledge of consumer internet and television technologies are a definite asset
- Strong contract creation and execution skills
- Strong business and financial acumen - including proven experience to lead supplier negotiations and structuring deals (including establishing contract terms and conditions (i.e. pricing, performance management and SLA development), drafting legal agreements, risk mitigation and skilled negotiations
- Proven experience developing and managing successful relationships with vendors / suppliers and internal stakeholders at both working and senior level;
- Strong cross-functional team management and facilitation skills, with both internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards desired outcomes;
- Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult contract negotiations, tight deadlines and high client expectations
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills; statistics knowledge and experience is highly sought
- Understanding and experience in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Ariba, Excel, SAP, etc.)
- Ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data to support decision making
- Ability to work effectively with all levels within a large organization;
- Good project management and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite

- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 5-7 years equivalent experience
- Proven experience developing and managing successful relationships with vendors / suppliers
- Relevant experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment
- SCMP/MBA designations are a definite asset
- Experience with eSourcing tools such as Ariba/SAP
